Tornado in Queens, Brooklyn one killed
National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Brooklyn, Queen and Staten Island in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Many trees were fallen down, several buildings were damaged heavily cars were destroyed and also one person was left dead by the storm.
A woman was killed when a tree toppled onto her vehicle on the Grand Central Parkway near Jewel Avenue. There was a lot of damage due to winds of over 100 miles per hour, and a driving rain storm, and at the center of all of this a tornado. Due the storm, more than 24,000 people were left without power in the Queens and about 4,800 households in the Staten Island.
