Air France Planning of New Low Cost Carrier

Air France Planning of New Low Cost Carrier

Air France is considering a low-cost domestic operation. Air France-KLM aims to achieve the same cost savings and allow greater flexibility. The airline was trying to establish domestic airlines with low fares so that everyone can join and fly.

The Air France-KLM Group already has a low-cost carrier in the form of Transavia. Reports imply that the airline is doing this in a bid to win back market shares in France from budget rivals.

The airline refused to comment about this new carrier. The report claimed that the French flag-carrier is in debate with unions about Air France Express. AirFrance, is the French flag carrier headquartered in Tremblay-en-France, France and is one of the world's largest airlines. It is a subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group and a founding member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance.
