Rafael Nadal wins US Open 2010 seals career Grand Slam

The world No 1 Rafael Nadal preserved his place among the tennis greats beating Novak Djokovic to win the US Open and complete his collection of grand slam titles.

Rafael Nadal has already won the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon singles titles. Nadal had never won the title on Monday he claimed a 6-4 5-7 6-4 6-2 victory in a match lasting three hours 22 minutes. The match was interrupted by rain for an hour and 50 minutes. Nadal is now just one of seven men to have won the career Grand Slam.

Rafael "Rafa" Nadal Parera is a Spanish professional tennis player currently ranked No. 1 in the world. In 2008, Nadal was given the Prince of Asturias Award for Sports, in recognition of his achievements in tennis.
