Christine O’Donnell wins Delaware Election
Christine O’Donnell defeated Rep. Mike Castle, who campaigned with the backing of party officials. O’Donnell is tagged as conservative activist and was a tea party favorite. As per the results, it was 52% for O’Donnell versus 47% for Castle.
O’Donnell said, “I cannot thank you enough for that. The people of Delaware have spoken: No more politics as usual! I can’t thank you enough, because you guys have partnered with me, believed in me from the beginning, stood with me in the face of adversity.”
Christine O'Donnell is an American marketing consultant and political commentator. She is the Republican Party nominee in Delaware's 2010 United States Senate election. She won the September 14, 2010, primary election by six percentage points over Castle.
