Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao urged Japan to release a detained Chinese boat captain. Wen Jiabao threatened further action against Japan if not it releases a Chinese sea captain.
Mr Wen insisted the urgent release of the captain who was arrested by Tokyo following a crash between his fishing boat and two Japanese patrol vessels near disputed islands.
